You’ll be able to find everything you need, and more, right here in New West. Join us as we #ReDiscoverNewWest shops to get your home all set to be social once more!

 For the big stuff

So, you put off buying a new comfy couch or dining room set because, well, who was going to use it? Now your friends need a better place to perch while you watch your favourite streaming channels, and a great table to spread out everyone’s best potluck dishes. All your adult furniture problems can be solved at Champagne Taste Home. They have an incredible selection of curated pre-loved home furnishings, and if you prefer you can even custom order a new couch!

For the small stuff

For all things small that make a big impact, from kitchen gadgets to closet organizers, visit the Everyday Items Japan at the Royal City Centre Mall. From USB-charged mini-portable fans, to coffee filters, to glassware and everything in between, you’ll be sure to find it at the Everyday Items Japan. (While you’re in the mall, be sure to check out the amazing display of art by the New Westminster Arts Council on the main floor.)

 For the walls

An easy way to invigorate your space, and show off your personality and style, is by hanging new artwork. We highly recommend you pop into the VanDop Gallery in Victory-Massey Heights. Unlike traditional galleries, the VanDop Gallery is set in a home, allowing you to envision how the art looks in a functional space. Featuring artists from New West, and the rest of Canada, and with Trudy’s impeccable eye for detail, you will certainly find something to transform that spot above your couch from meh to marvelous.

For that hint of whimsy

The felt garlands at Emerald & Ginger are so pretty that once hung up, even a 5 pm Zoom meeting on a Friday will seem bearable. From hearts, to tulips, to planets, you’ll be sure to find a garland that will add a colourful pop of fun, sure to bring a smile to your face. If garlands aren’t your thing, they also have eye-catching totes and zippered wallets that will turn heads and bring smiles while you’re out shopping local.

For the table

Pottery Works, located at the River Market, is a collective of artists overcoming disability through their art. Their collection is ever-changing, which ensures the pieces you get will be original and unique. Not only will your table look exquisite at your next dinner party with pieces from Pottery Works, but you’ll also be helping to support local artists in our community.
