12th Street Food Crawl

You will enjoy a delicious treat at each of the 5 food stops and also have an opportunity to meet with business owners to learn more about their cuisine as we explore the vibrant food scene popping up in this area.

We will begin at Wildfire Books then walk along 12th Street to Shiok Canteen, Gospas Delightful Food, Vadapav Mirchi by Geeta and Rainbow Play Cafe.

The Street Crawl will also include hidden histories, culture and art of historic Twelfth Street to be led by Jay (they/them), a teacher with a background in heritage and environmental education. In 2021, as part of the Adventures on Twelfth project, Jay worked alongside fellow summer student Daphne to explore and document the rich history and culture of New West’s historic Twelfth Street. Jay is excited to share insights from the project and offer historical context along the walk, showcasing the street’s past and its impact on the present-day community.

Note: The Food Crawl will take place rain or shine with some service indoors and some will be enjoyed outside as we explore the arts and culture in the area.
