6 Open Air Patios for Those Hot Summer Days

Open Air Patios for a New West Summer

For those of you who have been oh so patiently waiting, the hot summer days are finally here! While warm summer evenings are best spent with cool drinks and good company, patios are the perfect open air alternative to the traditional dine-in experience. Here are 6 local patios to hit up this summer.

Another Beer Co.

Enjoy a cold one on Another Beer Co.’s newly opened patio! Try one of their funky brews such as their new Dazed & Cocofuzed Dark Coffee & Coconut Lager or their Priorities DDH Hazy DIPA. P.S., their patio is pup friendly too!

Frankie G’s Pub

Founded by a local Queenborough family in 1999, Frankie G’s draws from over 80 years of New West heritage with exposed brick, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. For an alternative view of the Fraser, make sure to head to Port Royal Park for a post-dinner stroll along the river.

This list would not be complete without mentioning this local gem. A New West institution, the Paddlewheeler first opened in 1986 and is famous for their panoramic view of the Fraser.

Kelly O’Bryan’s

A spacious patio in the heart of downtown New West, Kelly O’Bryan’s is perfect for chill drinks, appies and people watching. With an extensive drink menu and new specials every day, their patio is the perfect place for those looking for a good ‘ole time.

Steel & Oak

New West’s original brewery with a rotating selection of classics and local favourites. If you’re taking the train over, make sure to take the scenic route from New West Skytrain along the Quay Boardwalk.

Hub Restaurant
