Price is Right Contestant Loses, and then Wins, a Trip to Canada!
Phillip never imagined that when he lost out on “an amazing trip to beautiful Canada,” on an episode of The Price is Right, that his journey had just begun. Lucky for him, the people of New Westminster, located in the heart of Metro Vancouver and a mere 25-minute SkyTrain ride to downtown Vancouver, wanted to make sure his prize was fulfilled.
New West is a great deal when planning a trip to the Vancouver area, so it’s no wonder Phillip overbid! New West is looking forward to welcoming Phillip!

We wish Phillip could stay longer to enjoy EVERYTHING that New Westminster has to offer! Of course, we acknowledge that there are many other wonderful restaurants, theatres, breweries, cafes, attractions, galleries, experiences and neighborhoods to enjoy. But time flies and we could only fit so much in. We hope he will enjoy his stay so much that he will come back again!

#SearchForPhillip
Phillip originally lost out on a trip to stay in New West Monday November 13, 2023 when he overestimated the value of the trip while playing the balance game on the show. Days later, Tourism New West launched an online #SearchForPhillip campaign that picked up so quickly it was less than a week before Phillip from Arizona was found.

Phillip guessed that the total price of the trip would be $8,280, but he and The Price is Right host Drew Carey were both taken by surprise at the actual value — a reasonable $5,280. Almost too good to be true!
