Swim Parties and Matinee Movies in Uptown New West

Heroes and Villains and Disney themed public swims are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to fun things to do in New West this break. Round up the kiddos for matinee movies Uptown hosted by The New West Public Library. Or, head to the Moody Park Arena for family, public, and loonie skates throughout the Spring Break! Celebrate Easter in Queens Park with Mr. and Mrs. Bunny

Children between 3-10 years old? Queen’s Park is hosting Mr. and Mrs. Bunny for an Easter celebration with the petting farm, and loads of other fun activities for your kids to enjoy! Join in the family fun at New West’s flagship park Sunday, April 1st from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. Call 604-777-5121 for more details on this free event.

Drop in and Explore the Fraser River at the FRDC

No need to worry about pre-registration here! Drop in at The Fraser River Discovery Centre March 20-24 to explore BC, and follow Simon Fraser’s journey down the Fraser. Kids aged 2-12 will receive passports to document their experiences as they learn about a different stop every day of this Special Spring Break program. Craft The Day Away at The Craft Cafe on Sundays

The River Market Craft Cafe is hosting self-directed drop-in sessions on Sundays 11-1pm until March 25 ages 6-11. They provide access to the basic supplies like paper, cutting and pasting materials, paints, markers, and crayons, so your kids can express themselves and let their creativity run free!

Get a Little Spooky With the Ghostly New West Tour

This one’s for the older kids and parents, as the minimum age requirement is 12 years old. Explore the paranormal in BC’s original capital on a 90 min hair-raising walking tour through history.
