Take Your Music Loving Pops to a Concert – The New Westminster & District Band are putting on their annual Father’s Day concert. Round up your family and take dad to enjoy the Senior Concert Band, Jazz Band, Forte Wind Ensemble and Junior Band Sunday afternoon in Queens Park.

Have some Dad & Me Kite Fun – Spend some quality craft time together! Purchase a custom kite kit to take home or build a kite together in the Craft Cafe’s self-directed Father’s Day assembly. While quantities last you can practice and access other supplies on location to design your kite together.

Once you’ve built the kite, test out your creation in one of New West’s beautiful parks. Fly it along the boardwalk in the Westminster Pier Park, and finish up your day with snacks from the concession. Or, check out the wind conditions in Sapperton Park and play on their massive modern playground and spray park. You could also fly your new kite in our flagship park, Queens Park, and end the day with a trip to the free petting farm, or some snacks from the concession!

Boogie with dad at Uptown Unplugged – A weekly performing arts series hosted in various locations throughout the Uptown neighbourhood on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 2 pm! This Father’s Day check out Oxlip at the Royal City Centre. Starring Jayne Trimble, her music blends ancient mysticism, folklore, myths and legends with a whiff of sixties psychedelia. Beautifully crafted and profound, she’s a sure-fire crowd pleaser.
