If you are a big fan of the farmer’s market, you are bound to love the New West Holiday Market! Stop by on December 11th or 12th in front of the New West City Hall from 10am – 4pm for a variety of food trucks, artisan vendors, and music. Spend the day finding unique gifts and enjoying your loved one’s company!

A classic date idea, it’s always fun getting ready and looking your best while enjoying a hearty meal. Visit any of our fine dining options such as Piva, El Santo or the Boathouse for mouth-watering menus, and maybe stop by one of the several Shine Bright spots around New West to enjoy the Holiday lights and onstage productions after!

Watch a performance at Massey Theatre

Nothing inspires love and passion more than witnessing the passion of others and art. So why not spend an evening enjoying the holiday-themed performances such as Sing We Now of Christmas, O Christmas Tea: A British Comedy or Royal City Youth Ballet’s The Nutcracker at Massey Theatre. You can even check two items off the holi-date bucket list in one day as the Massey Theatre is a short walk away from the Moody Park ice rink!

Trivia Nights

Spend the evening bonding over a few drinks and a little friendly competition! This winter, stop by one of our several different eateries and pubs hosting Trivia Nights, such as IQ 2000 Trivia at Frankie G’s, or Smarty Pints Trivia Night at MATCH Eatery & Public House and enjoy a night of games and fun. Make sure to keep your eye out for other trivia events throughout the city, as there is often a trivia night happening around here!

Whether you’re a pro or just a beginner, ice skating is always a fun experience and the perfect date idea this season. Grab your skates (or rent a pair at the arena) and spend an evening gliding with the company of a loved one. And hey, what better excuse to hold your date’s hand! Book a slot for public skate sessions either at the Moody Park Arena or the Queen’s Park Arena here
