Creativity, community, and the kind of crisp weather that makes everything cozy! It’s the perfect backdrop for celebrating the shift from summer to autumn in New Westminster.

At these local art and craft fairs, you can peruse beautiful paintings and sculptures, or find your new favourite pair of mittens as you make your way through stalls of beautiful handcrafted goods.

Riverfest Artisan Market

Round up your friends and family, and meet down by the river this fall. To celebrate World Rivers Day and BC Rivers Day,  the Fraser River Discovery Centre hosts Riverfest–a free two-day community event with live performances, family-friendly activities and online workshops. Located on the Quayside boardwalk, this riverside festival also features a tugboat parade and an artisan market of beautiful local handmade crafts.

New West Craft

From the aroma of freshly baked sugar cookies wafting through the air to the intricate artisan treasures, this ongoing fall craft fair celebrates local artisans and the warmth of New West communities. 

Presented by the Arts Council of New West, New West Craft takes place on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month starting October 7th, 2023.

New West Culture Crawl (October 14 + 15)

This fall, New West artists in a diverse array of mediums once again come together to showcase their immense collective talents in this city-wide group show–and all you need to enter is a map to the studios. Mark your calendars for the 20th annual New West Cultural Crawl. Artist studios and venues across five New West neighbourhoods open their doors to welcome thousands of visitors from across Metro Vancouver. Visitors can see the spaces where the art is created, and wander through paintings, sculptures, and mixed media.

All Hallow’s Eve Craft Market

Step into a world of spooky delights at All Hallow’s Eve Craft Fair, where artisans conjure up all manner of spooky delights. From eerie decorations to ghostly get-ups, discover the perfect crafts to haunt your home. 60 vendors across 2 levels will be hawking their Halloween goodies, for the spooky season enthusiasts there will be tons of creepy crafts and witchy wares.
