Botanically Inspired Kirsten Chursinoff
About the Exhibit:
Textile art by local artist Kirsten Chursinoff. Inspired by botanical gardens as well as the tenacious plants in overgrown lots, each embroidered quilt is intricately stitched using various techniques. Kirsten’s work is composed of primarily repurposed textile scraps including waste fabric from quilts, thrums from weaving, and bits and pieces collected over the years.
Admission is always free.

We acknowledge with gratitude that New Westminster stands on the traditional and unceded territory of the Halq’eméylem-speaking peoples. We honour their relationship with this land, as we live, work, and explore this beautiful region together.
