D ROTI SHAK serving Caribbean meals that will feed your soul! 👌🏾✨ 2020 is all about supporting one another. With the ongoing pandemic and #BLM movement it only makes sense to order some delicious takeout from a local Black owned restaurant. • My order: -Curry Chicken served on rice: the chicken is marinated in a mouthwatering sweet sauce! The rice itself s incorporated with some beans and altogether it soaks up that amazingly delicious sauce. • -Chicken Roti: The tenderest chicken surrounded with a delicious mash potato, wrapped around by a fine Roti with spices! • They also have a number of meatless options for you vegetarian folks!• I am so excited to try out more Black owned local businesses and take you along on the journey. Let's continue to support local and educate ourselves on the BLM movement. 2020 is the year of Change for the better, and how lucky are we to say we are apart of History!? ✨ Tag your foodie adventure buddy!• #eatlocal #vancouverblackownedbusiness #newwestminstereats #newwestminsterbc #takeoutchallenge #yothatssobomb #eatcouver #vancouverblogger #vancouverisawesome

Whatafood

A popular Brazillian food truck, Whatafood has opened its first brick and mortar location in Shops at New West! We recommend trying their pão de queijo (Brazillian cheese puffs, a fan favourite) or their pastéis — flaky dough filled with cheese or meats, fried in vegetable oil until crisp and golden. Open for takeout or online via Doordash.

Food Zone Inn

Food Zone Inn is a new restaurant in town located behind Sapperton Station that is serving up delicious Persian food. Their grilled tandoori chicken wrap is a must-try, and their grilled chicken wings with triple spicy dip will make your mouth water. Open for takeout Monday to Friday from 11 am – 5 pm or online via Doordash, UberEats, and SkiptheDishes.

Saigon Ivy

Nothing warms you up better on a chilly day than a hot bowl of pho. Saigon Ivy on 6th Street is a hidden gem for Vietnamese food in New West. Their pho broth is the perfect balance of savoury and salty, their spring rolls are flavourful and crispy, and their Banh Mi sandwiches are generously stuffed with meat and veggies. Saigon Ivy is open for dine-in and available for takeout by calling 604-526-3388.

Victoria Sushi

OSHI DEAL ❤️ | As you all know, I’m a big fan of sushi so it’s always great to find a place that offers affordable oshis. Victoria sushi is definitely one of them! All these oshis, including the salmon and scallop were SO TASTY and torched to perfection. So delicious and affordable averaging around $12 only per roll. Of course the atmosphere is not as fancy as what you’d find at places like Miku but I think the price point reflects that. A great everyday spot to get your oshi cravings satisfied 🤤 @victoriasushi . . #food #vancouver #vancouvereats #yvr #yvreats #foodphotography #foodblogger #blogger #foodie #foodielife #buzzfeast #foodstagram #instafood #dishedvan #foodcouver #instadaily #nomsmag #sushi #oshi #japanese #rolls #dinner #victoriasushi #newwestminster
