Excitement is coming to New Westminster this summer! Whether you are a lifelong football fan or simply looking to be part of the action, the city will be hosting FREE watch parties throughout June and July. Expect a vibrant community atmosphere, live match screenings, and the chance to cheer alongside fans from across New Westminster as the world’s top teams compete on the biggest stage in the sport. Also, across the community, a number of local bars and restaurants will also be joining in the excitement by welcoming fans throughout the tournament.

Join fellow fans at Ryall Park in New Westminster’s vibrant Queensborough neighbourhood for a free outdoor watch party as Canada takes to the pitch on one of the sport’s biggest global stages.

Make a day of it by exploring the Queensborough Neighbourhood Connection Party happening next door, featuring food, family-friendly activities, and plenty of community spirit. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and settle in on the Queensborough Middle School field to enjoy the match on the big screen alongside fans from across the region.

Visitors are encouraged to come prepared for the weather, as shaded areas are limited. Sunscreen, a hat, and plenty of water are recommended for a comfortable viewing experience.

Getting there
Parking is limited in the area, so please consider one of the many public or active transportation options to come and join the fun.

The Q to Q ferry will be offering free ridership to Queensborough after 12:00 pm. From there, it’s a 7-minute bike ride, 18-minute bus ride, or 30-minute walk.

There will be free shuttles from 22nd Street SkyTrain Station to the event and back between 2:00 pm and 9:00 pm. There will be two shuttles, one of them wheelchair accessible, heading back and forth roughly every 30 minutes.
